"Datsun Ranch" - My 68x40 garage / shop in Arizona

Almost two years have passed since the last update... Let's see what's happened since then. Lots of cars have passed through here (daily drivers, kids' cars, quick flippers, repairs for friends, and a bunch of cars purchased in the southwest to send to Canada). Sold our pristine '73 240Z...

Thanks Rix! Yep, the Webers were sorted and great, and actually just went to a different project. The built L20b finally gave up the ghost, and a S14 SR is taking its place. Thanks for the kind words, brother!

Hey Riley! Actually, I know someone who could use the rear seat and bumpers for sure, and I would be interested in the windshield. I won't be out that way for a month, but I'll see if he's heading that way anytime soon!

Ceiling height is roughly 11'. Haven't measured the lift, but I'm sure the dimensions are somewhere online.

Thanks Mark! Wow, time has flown since this. We've built several cars in the past 4 years, had some great times, and I've learned a ton. Last summer, I decided I needed more floor space, so the "room" got demo'ed and the space was reallocated to restoration and modding. The 4-post drive-on...

Cool new product idea - Check this out!

Wow, that's a little presumptuous. I was sharing an article - I'm not sure why I would be expected to provide feedback or answer questions. p.s. It's 'bait.' ;)

Per the inventor: "We can safely rate the lightest version that you see in the video to 2 tons/pair by ANSI standards, or 1 ton per stand. The requirements are that each pair has to hold up to 3x the stated rating (or each individual stand has to hold 1.5x that rating) and the stands actually...

Cool new product idea - Check this out!

A little something from my "other" life - When I'm not doing restorations in the shop, I run a big automotive forum. We recently featured this inventor's product, and I think it's gonna be a hit. Love to see what the GJ faithful think! http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/rennstand.html

WOW. Talk about a blast from the past! Hope all is well, pop in at NICOclub and let us know what you've been up to - I'm sure some of the "old guard" would love to say HI, and some of the n00bs would love to hear stories about "the old days", haha!

:dunno: I don't think there are any pics of the roof of the building... maybe quote one of the specific pics? Only thing on the roof here lately has been a ****-ton of sunshine. BTW, we're having the most amazing spring I can recall - Today, the high was 80. We're expected to remain in the...

Looking for a cordless impactgun. What do you recommend?

I've had a Dewalt 18v for about 5 years and it has taken a beating. Bought it refurbished, and it's probably my favorite tool in the shop. Saves a TON of work and always does the job.

Thanks so much - I have a local friend who has made an offer on it, but I think I may hold out for a little more. You can PM me if you'd like. Looking forward to it, my friend. You know the rules at Datsun Ranch: Door's always open, no one's a stranger, and car peeps are always welcome. :)
