    Snap-On Flank Drive Extra

I know this is an older thread, but just wanted to add one thought that I didn't see anyone mention. I have the FDX mids, and even though it is a little annoying that the fasteners tend to stick in there at times, but there is an advantage in terms of installing as well as removing fasteners...

What tools to work on a truck?

Thanks all for the tips, I was a little intimidated by the idea of working on a larger vehicle but hopefully won't be too bad. Someone mentioned brake lines being replaced; are they known to rust easily on these vehicles? (Especially since I'm in New York)

What tools to work on a truck?

Ok thanks...in that case, I would ask what about tools that are useful on Chevy specifically, such as front end tools, or other must haves or very helpful ones...any ideas?

What tools to work on a truck?

When I say truck I mean a Suburban. I have been doing a lot of DIY work on my cars in the past few years, and have put together a fairly nice collection of tools, some good quality and some junk but it works. I just bought a Suburban, and have never worked on a large vehicle like this before...

You KNOW your a tool ADDICT when....

    - When your two-year old sees any box coming to the house and says "it's Daddy's tools!" - When your two little kids are so excited every time the "tool closet" gets opened and they run over and say "I want to hold a tool" and you give them each a socket or something else not sharp and they...

What is this item that was built into my worbench??

this whole conversation is showing me that there is an entire world of possibilities when it comes to tool functionality and utility. This guy who owned this workbench some decades ago had some use for these holes and none of us are really quite sure exactly what :) even though it clearly...

What is this item that was built into my worbench??

But still, I'm wondering why would a bench dog be so close to the vise, and not centered with the vise?

What is this item that was built into my worbench??

I'm hoping to figure out mainly because I'm curious, and also because perhaps I could use whatever it is/was. But if I don't find out I guess I'll still have to come up with some creative use for those holes if anyone has ideas. They don't appear to be well situated for dogs.

What is this item that was built into my worbench??

It doesn't really seem anything like that holdfast. I mean, maybe it is some kind of hold fast; who knows...but why would they put them right next to the vises?
