    Running circuits/travelers in conduit

Well, you're right, he doesn't have to. And I surely can't make him. But, to be legal by code, and safe in practice, he should. And that's the way we have always done it, or we wouldn't pass inspection. To do other wise is bad practice, and to defend it is bad advice. By the way, frankush has it...

    Running circuits/travelers in conduit

If ran in EMT conduit, then yes.

    Running circuits/travelers in conduit

Yeah, I'll try. (The NEC requires this for a reason guys.) NEC 300.3(B)] requires all conductors of the same circuit to be contained in the same conduit or cable, unless otherwise permitted in accordance with 300.3 (B) ((1)through(4)). This requirement mostly pertains to metallic...

    Running circuits/travelers in conduit

Yep. Neutrals and hots need to be in the same raceway. You need the neutral in with the other wires, otherwise you'll have overheating of the conductors.

    Anything better than Tapcons?

:lol_hitti.....I hear ya brother....been there myself a time or two......

    Anything better than Tapcons?

Yep, I bet we installed tens of thousands of those things over the years. Nothing better for running EMT and setting boxes on masonry surfaces.

Can you help me identify these?

I always thought that was Amber in color.....no wait, that's "fog light fluid" I'm thinking of. So, nevermind.:D

2 or 4-Post Lifts - Who? What? Pros & Cons?

Pointing out a single, solitary reason to own one is diametrically opposed to the concept of "versatility".:lol_hitti And put me down as being firmly in the 2 post camp.

MaxJax - 20 month update - check your anchors.

Yep. I agree. No need to buy a "portable" lift and then make it "permanent"...kinda defeats the purpose.:headscrat After all, they sell low ceiling base plate lifts for that application.

Want a 2-post lift, but I rent instead of own my home.

We always used toothpaste.;) But to the OP...check your ceiling height and floor space to see what lift you can accommodate, and check with your landlord....he may surprise you and allow the lift.:dunno: As mentioned, if ceiling height is an issue, the MaxJax is a good option. Best of luck to...

    Alternative to MaxJax

Actually, it is the portable model. The rollers are clearly visible up until 0:51, and then they apparently removed them for some reason. The bolt holes for the rollers are still visible though, so it is apparently the same lift. They claim a lifting height of 74" .... impressive if true. All...

    Two-post vs. Four-post

My point was...in the wrong hands, they all can fail, even a 4 post. Even the highly praised brands with the much sought after golden certificate. Human error trumps certification nearly every time. Do we have any insight to the brand of lift that "failed" in the Midas location posted? Do we...

    Two-post vs. Four-post

Yep, it can happen. It's nearly always operator error though, and some of those nimrods can make nearly anything fail. Four posts aren't immune either.....

Broke in the new lift today.

I hear 'ya on all counts!:rocker: I had to settle for a used "China-Lift", which is thankfully getting the job done, but as soon as finances allow I'll be getting a BendPak. And when that day comes, I probably won't consider anything else either, because as you said, buying a BendPak is pretty...

OK, I got in here kinda late....did we just swerve? ..:dunno:
