Rookie finally laying porcelain tile in my single

Nice project! Based on your whiteboard drawing and cabinet plans, I am going to guess you are either a designer or work in CAD? Just curious. Can you tell us more about the cabinets? Again, nice work.

    Mounting tools on tool boards?

Can anyone tell me how they "wall mount" their impact guns and air ratchets? I've been looking for a good way to do this for a while.... Thanks!

    securing air compressor??

I've got a 60 gal upright that isn't bolted or otherwise secured. It's resting on the concrete. When it runs, it vibrates enough where it "walks" slowly away from the wall. Concrete is smooth, level and in like new conditionl, BTW. I was thinking about bolting it into the concrete with a...

How to connect vent to Big Maxx 45jk?

Well, the draft hood fit a little loose. I used a couple self tappers to connect it to what I think is the "flue transition" from the heater. The Big Maxx instructions leave a lot to be desired. Anyway, I think success is near. Thanks for the input.

How to connect vent to Big Maxx 45jk?

Thanks for the input. It seems a little strange that it does not need to be airtight. I know it obviously wouldn't be tight like a compressed air system or gas lines but the fit just seems sloppy. My Big Maxx never came with a 3 to 4 inch adapter. As far as I know, it wasn't supposed to...

How to connect vent to Big Maxx 45jk?

I tried that already and it seems "loose" and definitely not airtight, not even close. Is that normal? With all of the other things I've had to do, (trench across yard, tie into gas from my house, electrical, etc) it seems crazy that I'm hung up on this...

How to connect vent to Big Maxx 45jk?

Hey guys, I am having one helluva time trying to connect the venting to my 45k Mr Heater Big Maxx. I've bought all sorts of vent fittings to connect to the back of my machine and nothing seems to work. A guy from Home Depot gave me an adapters piece that is like a single wall to B vent...

    Large Garage Cabinet

Thanks Quicksilver! During my last trip to the library I looked through at least 2 years of magazines page by page with no luck. I would have kept at it but I have two very young boys and thats about the time they started tearing stuff up. Now I know what I'm looking for. Thanks again and...

    Large Garage Cabinet

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone have the date of the issue or a copy of the original plans they could send to me? My library has Family Handyman mag going back several years but I couldn't find the plans last time I went... Thanks!

How to pressure test gas line?

Well, my thoughts were confirmed. Went to HD, asked the "plumbing guy" about a test kit and he knew nothing. I'm now thinking about drilling/tapping the cap on one end for a pressure fitting and drilling a hole in the other end for a schrader valve. MrMark, My run is about 75' total. I used...

How to pressure test gas line?

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm heading to the Depot this afternoon to look for the gauge set. I looked before but never found anything. I dread asking for help at HD because usually it's worse than having no help at all... Thanks again.

How to pressure test gas line?

Hi everyone, awesome site here. Been a long time lurker, now a first time poster. Anyway, I ran a gas line from my house to my detached garage. I have it capped near the house and just outside the garage right now. I used buriable gas line from Grainger, adapted to 3/4" black pipe to make...

    Rubber-type material inside tool box?

Thanks for the help, everyone. BoostAdiction- it was in fact your garage pictures that I was looking at. Very impressive! I know both sides of the cost of tools argument as I am often on one side or the other. My job forces me to scrutinize the cost of tools and equpment. If the tool foam...
