Thank you sir. I bought some concrete repair that you use in a caulking gun. Its either Loctite or Liquid Nails brand. Have to look when I get home. Says it can be used for filling small holes which is what I have.

Thanks for the info. I've not bought anything yet. The contractors are starting today on the basement renovation. Once they are done I'll be doing the floor.
I assume I need to remove any paint etc from the concrete before staining. I have some white paint drops/spots from when the wall was painted. I guess I could just use an angle grinder with a masonry sanding disc?
Sorry, I guess I worded that wrong but yes I want to stain it with acid. I'll checkout the epoxy kit. When you say "doesn't react" do you mean it wont change color at all? Thanks for the help.

I'm considering doing this to my finished basement. We just pulled up the carpet and have bare concrete now due to removing a wall and adding a bar etc. My buddy and his dad finish concrete for a living so I'm going to recruit them and make it a DIY project.
