My 40x80 Metal Building Shop Build

The wing on the mini spring threw me off; up here the 600s run wingless pretty much exclusively. But that's very cool with the vintage car. The engine rules in the street stock division I am building a car for is pretty similar only all parts must be stock (so a Rochester 2bbl as opposed to a...

My 40x80 Metal Building Shop Build

Very cool, is the mini sprint a 1200? Up in NY the 270/600 sprints are pretty popular but the 1000/1200 never really caught on after Whip City (Massachusetts) closed. Up here, center-steer DIRT/northeast style modifieds have the most prevalence at all of our local tracks Your vintage car...

My 40x80 Metal Building Shop Build

The shop looks excellent and as a circle track wrench/racer/enthusiast, I am envious of the space you've built for your race team. If you don't mind, could you post up some pictures of the car(s) you run? I'd love to see them!

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Thanks for the info guys. I wasn't really expecting it to be a gem, some hidden treasure or an ultra-high quality piece, but it's cool to have a little background on it. It'll do until it craps the bed!

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I figured I would post here as opposed to starting a new thread, but does anyone have any idea on this vise? There are no visible markings, and the only thing I could use to identify it is the "6" on the right hand portion in the first photo. It was on my grandfather's workbench and my dad says...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: what did you do in your garage today? I've been pretty busy the past couple of days. Let me preface with apologies for the crappy iPhone pictures; one of these days I'll break down and purchase a DSLR, but as of now that money is used for go-fast parts  Here is the dirt street stock...

    Finally Built A Workbench

I like it a lot. I currently work out of the graduation at my grandmother's, but when the time comes where I have my own, that is exactly the type of bench I would like to build. Right now my current setup and budget won't allow for a butcher block top, but that is definitely the route I would...

40'x90'x12' Build in South Carolina, Shop #2

The plan is to get it ready for next season to run at Middletown, and once we get the car where we want it to try and hit Accord, Bethel and possibly even the Valley. Time will tell, but it's been fun tinkering on my own car for once

Backyard Fab Shop Build in NE Ohio

We make sure not to have green or peanuts anywhere around on race day  I wish I had a fraction of your fabrication skills. That piece to hold your levels looks great

My new 30'x32' Race Shop Build

That's a real sharp looking late model and the garage looks great too. I'm from Southern NY and wish they ran crate lates around here; I could definitely run one in the same price range as a crate sportsman. I actually just purchased my first street stock a couple of weeks ago with plans to run...

    Newbie from Upstate, NY pics

Looks like it's shaping up. I'm not from Syracuse but go to SU. It's cool to see how many Central New Yorkers are on here

The Snake Pit - single car garage

Phil, what a cool little garage. I'm actually quite familiar with your car being a Mustang enthusiast and my brother having a slammed VW Scirocco. Hopefully all goes well adding on to the garage!

40'x90'x12' Build in South Carolina, Shop #2

Okay so I picked the car up yesterday. Let me know what you think! First one is with it on the trailer behind my dually A little side profile And here to show where the smoke is missing It's a real solid foundation and should be a bunch of fun to put together. I can't wait to get...

40'x90'x12' Build in South Carolina, Shop #2

To be honest with you, I'm speechless looking at those cars and thinking that the Troyer hasn't been off the trailer in a decade. I'm sure you've seen them, but here is a link to a bunch of great vintage photos from the the Valley http://www.ottosraceaction.com/RA-VIN-13.html *Edit*: If you...
