How to get bits on a 1/2 drive impact?

On the first one that I had, where I broke off both bolt heads, I tried heating it with a torch, I tried freezing it, I tried PB Blaster as well as the Acetone/ATF mix, and I still ripped the heads off. Bolts are stubborn... On this one, I shot the bolts with some Acetone/ATF every day for...

How to get bits on a 1/2 drive impact?

Someone linked the gold Snap-on one earlier, looks beefy (and pricey). It seems to be stuck, but I'm not sure if I just had crappy Torx bits (2 snapped and 1 twisted too far gone). This is for the throttle body on my Jeep. This is actually a used one off eBay I bought recently because guess...

How to get bits on a 1/2 drive impact?

Hmm any recommendations, then? I've gone through 2 T20 bits trying to get this thing off (they just snap), so I figured an impact would be better because it won't stretch as much.

How to get bits on a 1/2 drive impact?

Looks good but doesn't have the size I need, T20. Thanks though! Yeah I'm still not fully awake and didn't realize when I posted this that the hex bits are 1/4". I kept seeing 1/2 to 1/4 adapters and passing them off because it wasn't what I was looking for... Thanks for the link!

How to get bits on a 1/2 drive impact?

Normally I would, but we're looking to move overseas soon so I'm working on keeping my tools as bare as possible. If there wasn't an option for getting an adapter, then I'd get the set

How to get bits on a 1/2 drive impact?

I'm just looking to get a normal hex bit onto my 1/2" drive impact. I just realized the hex bits are 1/4", aren't they? So I could just use a 1/2" drive 1/4 impact socket...

How to get bits on a 1/2 drive impact?

Hey all, I finally ordered the impact gun I've been looking at for a while. One of the first things I need to do with it is try and get out a stuck Torx bolt. My question is, how do I get the Torx bit onto the 1/2 drive impact? I looked online for adapters, couldn't find anything. Thanks!

Recommendations for a ~500ft-lb battery impact?

I would probably be using it every weekend. Not for work or my livelyhood, but for my seemingly constant supply of projects I find. I would need it to get through severely rusted nuts and bolts of my current Jeep (Michigan joy) as well as making work a little easier when it's horribly hot...

Recommendations for a ~500ft-lb battery impact?

How "worth it" is buying this and the batteries new, in order to get the warranty? I can get this 2763 used for a better price. I would probably buy the batteries new, though. Thoughts?

Recommendations for a ~500ft-lb battery impact?

Will the 48-11-1815 batteries work on this? I don't need the huge one that comes stock with it

Recommendations for a ~500ft-lb battery impact?

What's the difference between the -20 and the -22? Is the 22 the kit and the 20 the bare gun?

Recommendations for a ~500ft-lb battery impact?

I'd rather pay a bit more for a new one with a 5 year warranty than a reconditioned one with a 1 year warranty. I'm fine with reconditioned tools, but spending that much money on one, I want that longer warranty!

Recommendations for a ~500ft-lb battery impact?

Oh wow, yes there is indeed. I didn't realize the M18 Fuel impact was actually a line up of so many models, I thought there was just 1 compact and 1 high torque. I'll take a look into this! At the time being I don't have a use for anything else that would use the same battery, but who knows...

Recommendations for a ~500ft-lb battery impact?

Hey all, I've been searching for a while and I can't seem to find any impacts around the 500ft-lb range. I found the M18 Fuel, which is around 130, and the M18 Fuel High Torque, which is a crazy 1100ft-lb (but, you're paying for that). I just need an impact for around the garage busting off...

New air compressor doesn't have a pilot valve?

Awesome thank you!! Okay so that answers those questions. I think that my valve is broken.. I have it apart now, and there is a ball inside it. However, it's basically seized in there and I can't get it to move at all. Broke a few mechanical pencils (only plastic rod I could find so I don't...
