My new garage (name coming soon, but for now, Shop 187!)

Good afternoon and Merry Christmas eve! I finished the kid's lego desk and installed it this morning. Our neighbors (who our kid plays with all the time) were home, so we arranged with the parents to have our young'un go over there for a little bit and to keep him there long enough to give us...

My new garage (name coming soon, but for now, Shop 187!)

Thanks! It held temp better overnight by a few degrees but just opening the house door warmed it up even further... progress! I’d love to put a mini split in there, but I don’t know if that will ever get high enough on the priority list, in this house anyways. :) I hope so on the desk! If I...

    Raising the Rat Shack

If you are putting plywood down, then yes on vapor barrier... I was thinking you were doing gravel only. If gravel only then I wouldn’t, but otherwise gravel, then sheeting, then plywood. Hope that helps! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Raising the Rat Shack

Definitely no on plastic sheeting - otherwise you would have a gravel pool of water gets in. Water (what little bit may get in) should drain nicely under the gravel helping keep it dry. Sorry to hear about the power and such ... glad you and ours are safe and we’ll be thinking of y’all as you...

    Post Recession Shop Rehabilitation Project

Just finished reading up 63 pages on this thread and wanted to say thanks for sharing your journey with us! Lots of little (huge) ideas for me to add to my garage ideas list. One thing that really stood out was the insanely neat electric wiring jobs... well done sir! Glad your wife is doing...

    Raising the Rat Shack

Looking good!!! Love that you are pulling this off... I grew up on a large family dairy farm and this reminds me of one of our storage barns. Farm is still going and in the family, too. Good memories! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
