    Miter saws!

Well my tool shop miter saw finally gave up on me and I was wondering what miter saws you use and recommend but it also needs to be a sliding miter. I don't use it enough to be spending $600 on one but I don't want the cheapest one ether. Any help would be great! I was thinking around $200-$300...

    epoxy over oil

This stuff looks promising... Where can I buy it? And that oil looks like it was just put on there and not quite soaked in yet though

    epoxy over oil

Yea I don't think I'll grind I've etched it already and the oil came back again. So I'll try most of these methods and re etch. I'll let you guys know what I come up with.

    building my first bench...

I didn't even use masking tape all I did is cut it upside down with a skill saw. Both sides have melamine on them. The only thing that was hard is making a line so if you ever get it make sure you get a silver sharpie too.

    building my first bench...

It was already attached... It came in a 4x8 sheet it was about $36 a sheet though. And it is chemical resistant also so you can put paint thinner on it if you needed to!

    building my first bench...

Yup just found it :) im going to mount the vise on the right side above my air compressor I'm going to put a couple more 2x4s under the top to reinforce the top so I don't break it. And it's a detached garage. Just a one car garage but it gets the job done

    epoxy over oil

Now that I can try it's supposed to rain all week any way I'll go buy some tide today...do you just keep the towel wet then or do you just lift it up and water the tide? I'm in no rush to paint the floor I just want it done right.

    epoxy over oil

I know I seen that too but I was worried what kind of chemicals it left behind and if it would do anything to the epoxy

    building my first bench...

That's actually why I framed it out the way I did, so I could ether put a door on or put drawers in. So everything was flush

    epoxy over oil

Didn't have any lacquer thinner so I just put some baby powder down to see if that will get some up.

    building my first bench...

Lol the reason I have so much bracing in the shelf is because I was only using 3/8 plywood. I didn't want the shelf to droop. But the reason the propane tank is there, I just wanted to make sure it fit.
