TimeWarp , quick question. Have you ever had a heatstroke and do you wear jewelry? I might have a heads up on whats going on. I've had the same thing for the past three years and it took awhile to figure out. You can P.M. if needed.
I picked up a set of those bearings when I was rebuilding my 79' Suzuki. No shop carried the factory ones. They have held up surprisingly well for the abuse they've taken. Time will tell, but so far I'm quite pleased with their performance. YMMV.
Keep it.That's now your field saw and back up. I bought mine specifically for that purpose. The trade being fast, portable and rough cut to clean, precise and sedentary use of a bandsaw. And BD1 is right, you never get rid of a tool, preposterous:eyecrazy:
Thanks NastyZen. I just got rid of my 6ft cabinet and decided to use my old oil tank for my blast cabinet. I have been looking for a good tutorial on a oil tank blast cabinet and this fit the bill.
Would you suggest glass or plexi for the window so it would be easily replaceable? Or is this not...
Just costs less. If you can afford 211i do it. I bought the 181i and found it to be more than capable as an all around machine. It has a pedal you can order for the Tig. I was told by my supplier that the 211i was going to be manufactured in the U.S., so ya can't beat that.
I forgot to ask what the price was? If its new and they are almost asking full price I would go with the ThermalArc 181I Fabricator. It has the Mig, Tig, and Stick all in one machine. It is d/c only but unless your planning on doing aluminum, no big deal. Just my .02.
Welders are not something you buy from harbor freight. Before I was a welder I thought I would buy me a welder from them. One arc and it died.
A welder is a serious electrical supply. If you want one for an economical price get yourself a Hobart. Good luck.
