Would any like size spring do? Noticed some at the local Ace the other day. Or does it need to be a special "jack" spring? I'm assuming a hardware store would also have the right type of oil?

I bought this Lincoln jack from a guy a few weekends back and wanted some advice on what to do with it. He bought it new many years back (not sure how old it actually is). He said he hasn't used it in a few years, but it seems to be in good condition and works well. Seems to be missing a spring...
