Born and (mostly), raised in Livermore, CA. (Graduated high school in Turner, OR (1962). USMC (artillery, Marine Barracks, New London, CT,'62-66). Retired pre-K/12 teacher; retired Army National Guard [SFC, artillery, infantry mortars (mechanized)]. Did a bunch of other jobs prior to entering teaching field, including driver for a YWCA girls' summer camp in Livingston Manor, N.Y. in 1969. While there, I drove four counselors to a concert at a place called, Woodstock. Being a numb and dumb ex-Jarhead, I wore a tie. (That was quickly removed.) They girls had a good laugh when I ask why some fool tried to sell me some, "colored beans." They had a double-laugh when I asked what was the "smokey smell" in the air. I live on a 4 acre "mini-farm" in eastern Washington with my adult daughter and her four children. I care for the kids while she is in school. Life is hectic, but good.
Fishing, Guns, beer, Ford trucks, motor cycling, learning to run a metal lathe.
