I would never attempt this " lock?" I saw it at work and thought it was let's say ,interesting. I tried Google but hard to find something without a name. Guess it is not a common process.

Sorry no pictures,not allowed at work but imagine the end of a bolt with a nut threaded on to it flush to the bolt end. Now a small set screw inserted into the threads between nut and bolt parallel to bolt effectively locking nut in place. What is this technique called? Crude drawing. Messy...

I have had good luck with running a long hose from core into a bucket of water and using wet vacuum on other hose gently sucking ( not air tight connection) it up and repeating in other direction.
