    Refrigerant Leak Detector

I bought this one on http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0088MJTZE/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Amazon a while back, its a little over 28 now. Have only used it one time on an old case tractor. There was suspicious looking ac line ( kind of dry rotted looking ) and a slow leak, that...

36 gearwrench non ratcheting set $99

Well the replacements finally came Monday, April 28. The replacements were fine and cost me nothing but aggravation, a little gas to a fedex pick up location, and at least 3 weeks of time. In the end I'll have to see how well they work and the post by Bocefus shows them working good at least once.

36 gearwrench non ratcheting set $99

I shipped 2 back on April 7th and tracking showed they were delivered the next day, I still have not received replacements or any information on a time frame. I just emailed them again tonight to see what is going on. Will update with outcome.

36 gearwrench non ratcheting set $99

After looking at this thread I have noticed my 15/16 and 14mm are bent. I think my Indian made HF wrenches may be better than these.

    things people do to tools.

I mean I've put 15-20 feet of pipe on a 3/4 ratchet before, broke the harbor freight socket then got the rest loose with a GP, but if you have something stuck with a 19mm head can you not move up to the 1/2 drive instead of putting 3 feet of pipe on a 3/8? Normally when I'm using a 3/8 it...

    things people do to tools.

I can never get over people putting pipe on a 3/8 ratchet trying to break loose seized bolts and then calling them junk when they break.

Blow-molded cases - space hogs or great organizers?

I actually look for tools to come with blow molded cases, like JoeOef my tools go into my service truck. Its one reason I like GP stuff, I even ran over one of those cases with my truck before and was still able to use it after. It really helps keep stuff organized after bouncing all over a...

    Good Fan Clutch Tools?

Ended up getting the kd set and it seems like it will work on my truck but I haven't had anytime to mess with it, it seems really well built.

    Good Fan Clutch Tools?

redwrench60 I'm working on getting a gas compressor I'm just kind of holding out for a compressor welder combo, I Know I'm going to get both and I want to keep as much of my bed open as I can. I'm just making do with my inverter and electric impact for now.

    Good Fan Clutch Tools?

Yeah but I don't have a compressor on my service truck yet looking for some I can use with no air.

    Good Fan Clutch Tools?

I normally just use an air hammer but have been doing enough water pumps here lately I really want to get the tool that holds the fan clutch. I will being using it on my 97 7.3 power stroke soon but i want it to work on as many vehicles as possible. Been thinking about this one...

    Service Truck Parts

I don't know if this really fits here but I figured some of yall would have service beds and know some about them. Does anyone know where I can find Omaha service bed parts? Mainly the handles. Thanks.

    Good stubby wrenches??

I know no one has replied to this thread in a while but its just what I was thinking about and didn't want to start a new similar post. Someone mentioned ratcheting stubbies, I have both metric and standard in gearwrench but often times can't use them because of clearance, like when an open jaw...

    Dented sockets.

I'll be damned, today I was using my craftsman 19mm 1/2'' drive 12 point and it too had a small dent. Worked fine on a square differential check/fill plug.

Your fav tool, what you do, fav brand

My favourite tool is probably the hammer I made out of some steel tubing and part of a broken axle shaft. I'm a diesel mechanic on a dairy farm. I think GP is actually my favourite brand right now because their sockets have held up for me, they come in blowmolded cases which are handy as hell...
