Yeah we unfortunately live in a very litigious society, so I can understand them doing a CYA from a legal standpoint. I may need to setup something up in order to get the insurance, I was really hoping to just find a general liability policy I could purchase as a private individual to avoid...

I don't know, but that seems to be the general requirement at every equipment rental company I've called.
