    Ford model T wrench question

Re: Ford model T wrench question, Also Fairmount I also bought 3wrenches. The largest is 7-7/8 , and is a Fairmount Cleve. double open end. The others are 4-7/8 with faded writing unlegable, also open ends. The third is old looking also, but is flat double open ended, and is 3-1/2. My eyes are...

    Ford model T wrench question

I picked up a Ford model T adjustable (monkey) wrench at a yard sale. This one has an end that is not rounded, but tapers to a small rectangle that I guess fit into a slot for some purpose. What was that purpose, please?

    What are these screwdrivers for?

A short thin-bodied flatblade is also good in a pinch for setting air/fuel mixture screws on the old standby CV (like Keihin, etsc.) motorcycle carburetors, that have the screws under and behind the main carb body.

    Magnetic sheets for wrenches

Will 30mm, or 60mm magnetic sheeting be strong enough to hold up to 3/4" wrenches (just cheaper Sears-type, not heavy snap- on)? I want to put 6" strips up to hold the wrenches and smaller bits vertically, and to do the home-made magnetic armbands with Velcro or whatever also, thanks. I can get...

    Harbor Freight lift Install

Is the Harbor Freight motorcycle Lift manageable for two people to move the parts several feet into the garage to put together, weight wise? Or is it all pre-assembled, and just too heavy without more help other than a dolly and two people?

Ground moisture barrier underlayment for shed

I am getting a 10x20 barn shed, that is delivered on permanent 4x6 skids. It will be going on bare ground (no slab), and I need to put down a moisture barrier underneath. I live in hot n' humid ne Florida. I was thinking of some kind of tarp and roofing felt arrangement. What do you use, if...

    Good stain and sealer product

I am putting Down 1x6 spruce boards (over the sub-floor) for flooring in my new 10'x20 barn type shed; it will only see motorcycles, nothing really heavy. I need to know if I should use Thompson's water sealer first, then stain over; or, if there is a quality sealer and stain one-step product...

    New garden shed, well kinda.....

Oh h**l yes! Wish I had that for my Spanky's Moto-sickle and He man woman haters clubhouse. That's a lot of shed for 8-fiddy!

    Finally my shed is in

Perhaps a high pressure garden sprayer of bleach water or wood preservative applied under the floor every few months would keep the nasties at bay a little longer..

    Home-made magnetic armbands

I saw that magnetic armband on Cool Tools, good for holding sockets, screws, small wrenches, etc to your arm so your tool is right there when you need it. It costs $19.95 + shipping online only, and a couple other places. I found a place that sells magnetic sheets in any size, either by roll...
