Thought you guys would get a kick out of this one :)

Hi, I actually could have passed that exam. I learned minimal electrical to pass the 2020 ham technician test, which I thought was very difficult (& there were no funny questions, like #4). Have hams lost there sense of humor? The way a lot of people pass the tests now is to just memorize...

is a generator extension cord to a space heater ok?

oh, missed that reply, ok, another bad idea, people shouldn't say these things. I guess I have to go the electrician route, that's ok, learned a lot.

is a generator extension cord to a space heater ok?

I couldn't see on the boiler how many watts it is, but it's small and I have a separate water heater. I said furnace by mistake, it's a boiler. I probably should get the transfer switch, but I also kind of thought about plugging it into the 220 dryer outlet, but that's with another type of (bad)...

is a generator extension cord to a space heater ok?

thanks, I can't figure out how many watts it takes, but it's a small boiler (I have a separate hot water heater), I said furnace by mistake, it's a boiler. I probably will need to get that transfer switch (but I was thinking of plugging it into my dryer 220 plug (with the power off)

is a generator extension cord to a space heater ok?

is a generator extension cord to a space heater ok?

It's a red honda 2000 (I need to dig it out of the garage to see the #'s on it). I'm also looking into kerosene/propane heaters...

is a generator extension cord to a space heater ok?

Hi, at 1st I was thinking about using a infrared heater or a fake electric 'radiator' type, filled with oil, 1500W, 12.5 amp, 129v-. Now after reading replies, if I was to do this not too good idea, it would be to a small ceramic heater, & with a super thick cord. We're having our 1st heavy wet...

is a generator extension cord to a space heater ok?

Hi, I don't think I can do any wiring, but I do have a small honda generator & maybe I can get an extension cord thru my dryer duct (dryer's not connected now, I use drying racks)...but if I get this extension cord in, can I run a space heater off it (to keep pipes warm if I lose power?) Thanks...
