Post up your Powr-Kraft and other Wards tools

Pretty excited to pick up this powr-kraft box on thursday...prepaid. It is a duplicate of my remline box, which I like alot. 90.00 I thought was a fair deal.

RARE circa 1940 Stanley 667 Grinder

This seems to be a rare one...and my fourth vintage stanley grinder. I actually acquired it for free...along with a heavy duty grinder stand of the same era, a steel parts multi drawer bin, and a walker turner drill press, all listed free pick up on facebook. Lights still work on the eye...

Unusual Antique Gouge Chisel - who made it??

Here's a funky antique gouging chisel. 5/8 blade and overall length is 13 inches. I can't make out the name and wondered if anyone recognizes it....sorta looks like NEWSO____ and CAST STEEL. I would like to learn about it....what is the shape of the handle called and how is it used? I see a...

I still wonder about whether that was really all original. That price was mind blowing....if it in fact was a completed sale.

Addicted to Rust. How to tell vintage USA crow bars?

WOW! This was great information! I learned alot. I grew up in Western Ohio in the 60s and 70s. What is here correctly called a wrecking bar, my dad always called a crow bar. And he knew tools and was a natural engineer/designer, but accountant by trade.

The Wilton Toddler Vise Craze is ON! Show your wilton 825 toddler 2.5" / paint refin or original

Since prices are crazy for the 2" baby bullet, people have discovered the 2.5" toddler and prices have skyrocketed on ebay. Especially Chicago era. Here's a very nice refin that I just finished. Not sure if those jaws or the handle are original but still a great - very clean - little vise. I...

Addicted to Rust. How to tell vintage USA crow bars?

If a crow bar has no branding on it, is there any way to tell if it is an older or usa product? Please see pics. This is a 22 inch bar, currently not in my possession....but might be soon : ) depending on comments. No branding is visible but could have lettering under the rust, as I...

Rare / unusual 1971 tool - RATCHLOK locking wrench by Summit Tool Co. Any love for this one?

I have this odd locking wrench by the Summit Tool Company, 1971. Wondered if anyone had any experience with it. I was trying to decide if it was worth keeping on my already-too-large collection. The ideas seems to be of some merit --- you turn the screw as tight as you can on the nut, then...

    Companion tools.

I wanted to add my 2 cents to this so that young readers don't learn an incorrect history. Companion tools today - like many brands that were bought and sent overseas - are garbage. In contrast, Companion tools that were sold by Sears many decades ago (like 70s and 80s) were marked USA and are...
