I just started disassembling my SJ18 for restoration. For the most part I am very impressed with the overall condition. If anyone has a source for sone rear swivel casters or the cover plate, I would appreciate any leads!

Marty, I too just recently found one on Craigslist locally. Maybe we can help each other out during restorations. I need a cover as well, but figure we might have to do something like have one 3D printed in nylon/plastic. I need rear casters... Does yours still have some you can remove and...

I try to unplug mine, but I will be the first to admit that I forget often. I do not usually have the batteries on them though, does that make a difference?

Yes, for the front. I have a really nice, USA made, Eley hose real for the back. With 150' of hose on it, there is no way a wheel would work well (only have 50' of hose up front). I had not thought about a clock... That could work...

It is a non-OEM wheel in a discontinued style, thus the reason it is "junk". I do like the idea so far of extension cord storage.

Does anyone have any pictures or creative ideas on what to do with unused/spare wheels? My sister works at a dealership and gave me a wheel that was damaged (but like new) and trying to figure out what to do with it (wife already nixed the hose reel idea for the front of the house... lol)...
