http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/quebec-man-dies-after-losing-leg-in-weekend-explosion-1.2457103 No much details in news, but how much rust could cause such an explosion? I use my 60 Husky 60gal compressor once every month or so, and rarely drain it (like a few times in 5 years), I drained...

    Sump pump switch challenge

Yep check valve is present. What I want really is to have the pump, pump less frequently, but longer cycle by letting the water inside the container get higher and the pump to drain water longer until the water is low in the container.

    Sump pump switch challenge

Thanks for the response. Currently the switch is a float type on a wire. It start - stop and flushes about 6" of water. We need it to run longer for the water to be pumped out for 12", for a longer pump cycle pretty much. I was expecting to have an adjustable '"probe" gadget that could start -...

    Sump pump switch challenge

Good evening everyone, I have a sump pump located in a 12"w x 30 "d pit. I need to have the switch make the pump work when it's between water level 12" to 24" from bottom. The regular float type does not work due to width restriction. What option do I have ? Thx, Ben

    Car Port Post (part 2)

No, zinc (?) plated. Will be covered with a box and covered in grease. The base that was poured in concrete was painted with 3 layers of rust proof paint.

Hey guys. I have continued my car post project, started a long time ago. [Yes I was busy lol] See post : http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82313 I think I have “over-killed” the posts enough. I am curious to see how much weight this structure could hold. Any way of calculating...

Wall panel / quick "clip" (?)

Good day all! I have built some removable wall panels made of MDF to cover the wall around my electric panel. I want something that I can remove if need be, without having any screws to remove and that are showing. After looking around the only thing I could find that would do the job is some...
