I put some more time looking closer at the rubber covered slider units. There are legs that drop down and use large pins between them to rest the plates on the top of the rail after it is dropped to the ground and then elevates the wheels off the rail and raises with the lift.

Cool. Thanks for the info. With the rubber tops and the legs, they may be for lifting a car and securing it to work on wheels/brakes, etc... I'm sure I'll learn more next week when I can talk to the factory, etc... Have a Good Weekend!
