    Sizing Garage/Workshop Heater

Thanks. I guess I should point out that I would mainly use the heater to keep the garage above freezing temps and then warm it up only when I'd be working out there. I don't do that every day, and maybe only a few times per month or 'as needed'. Given that, would it change anyone's...

    Sizing Garage/Workshop Heater

Thank you for another perspective! *IF* I would go this route, do you think I would need 2 of these? 1 for the workshop and 1 for the front (since there's a wall mostly between the 2 areas)?

    Sizing Garage/Workshop Heater

Thanks for the reply. I will definitely consider this unit as well. Thankfully I'm not in a hurry to get anything before this winter. Definitely appreciate everyone's thoughts on the matter as well.

    Sizing Garage/Workshop Heater

What advantages would this type of heater have over the 'typical' garage heater?

    Sizing Garage/Workshop Heater

Curious on how everyone would size a heater for this situation. I have a 3-car garage with a workshop in the back part of it. Walls are 10' tall. It isn't currently, but will be insulated fully when I install the heater (only the bathroom is insulated now). I have a run for gas, so I will use...

Sub Panel in Shed - Wiring Questions

Speaking of ground rods, I've watched some videos of people using a hose to force it down... basically the water acts as a drill in front of the rod. Has anyone ever tried this? Just curious.

Sub Panel in Shed - Wiring Questions

I've read about this Teck stuff a few places, but from what I can tell, it's crazy expensive. Maybe not so much in Canada?

Sub Panel in Shed - Wiring Questions

would the XHHW require conduit inside the garage? From what I understand, it still would.

Sub Panel in Shed - Wiring Questions

Sorry about that. I'm in PA. I already plan to have conduit covering 100% outside (above and below ground), I just don't want to have to run it inside (PITA)

Sub Panel in Shed - Wiring Questions

Right, that's just where I presumed the transition from outside to inside. In the shed side, running conduit into the panel shouldn't be difficult. It's more on the garage side that is the issue. Need is such a strong word ... haha. Most likely, no, I will never ever use or need that much...

Sub Panel in Shed - Wiring Questions

Thanks. That makes sense on the grounding. Can anyone answer if there's a better option for the wiring type? If not, what kind of junction boxes can I use that aren't super expensive?

Sub Panel in Shed - Wiring Questions

Thanks in advance.... I've been doing tons of research and I think I have an idea of what I need, but just looking for validation and/or corrections. My situation is in the attached image. Basically, I have a sub-panel in my attached garage, that I plan to tap into so I can get electricity to...
