    DIY electric lawn tractor

Do you have the video link referenced in the screenshot here, by chance? Would love to take a look at that just for curiosity's sake. I do agree with @Stuart in MN that finding an old GE would be a great starting point, if one could be acquired. It would be a cool restomod kind of situation to...

    DIY electric lawn tractor

Now this sounds like it's gonna be fun! If I may pose a question: what powerplant are you planning to use, and in what configuration? I wonder if getting a rough idea of the size of componentry might be a good starting point and working backwards from there? In general I don't exactly expect...

Anyone interested in a shaper (aka, spindle moulder, Toupie, Tischfräse) conversation?

Got super excited to find a 220v 3hp shaper with a sliding table on FB marketplace, until I realized it was posted in BC. If anyone on the west coast is interested i can share the link. Would love to own it myself, but I'm sure the shipping would be horrendous.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Probably a day late, but can I be your neighbor?! Just kidding, I'd probably have to clear out some space as well. 🤫

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Retubed the wife's rear tire on her Trek because it blew out before she even got to ride it on our last trip. Weather was far too hot to ride at the beginning of July as it was so neither she nor I got out much during our vacation. The bikes came home and got stashed in the garage since. I...

    The Shape Of Tomorrow

You're way more motivated than I am, because my shop is still nowhere near where I want it after moving almost 20 months ago, but it is getting there. One thing I have found is to pick a corner, or a wall, and finish it. Then move onto the next. Repeat until finished, or you've gone completely...

    Matching Filament Colour to Brands

This is fantastic! Will definitely be checking this out. I have to admit my 3d printing has taken a major backseat lately.

Anyone interested in a shaper (aka, spindle moulder, Toupie, Tischfräse) conversation?

I see. Thanks for the video explanation! Mine, I seem to think, is changeable without removing the cutter. From the look of the 1/2" spindle, based on the taper and threaded end, I don't seem to see any reason why it couldn't be removed with a cutter in place.

Anyone interested in a shaper (aka, spindle moulder, Toupie, Tischfräse) conversation?

What's stopping you from changing the spindle with tooling mounted, out of curiousity? I've got 1/2" and 3/4" male spindles and a 1/2" router collet for my General International 3hp, but I've never actually had the 3/4 off it yet. Far as tooling goes, I can't fathom there being a whole lot of...

What did you do “IN” your wood shop today?

Spent the weekend working on creating a hood for the drum sander. I still have to attach the brush to the outfeed side, and figure out some sort of cover to close up the gaps at the end of the drum some. I may ultimately just end up gluing in some triangular blocking to close up the ends a bit...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Resistentialism Garage

Not in but out front of the Resistentialism Garage, I did an oil change on the SportWagen tonight. Pulling my 14' Crestliner aluminum home on Sunday we got a low oil notice on the dash. I pulled over and sure as **** we were low on oil. Went I turned the car back on, the warning went away so I...
