Wark67, didn't they have the fixtures you wanted at 1000 Bulbs? Thought they would be cheaper than HD.

I checked out the Mr. Garage site. Good idea, rather expensive. Anyone find anything similar?

Thanks Charles. Looks like I'm going to go with the T5's. I read in another thread a ways back where someone used 500w CFL's with reflectors. It was more cost efficient but just too many shadows. The daylight bulbs were a bit to intense so I guess the cool whites are what I'm looking for...

Just used some for the connections on a well 8' deep. Don't know who produced it, came with the pump.

I'm going to need something like that. Have to trench lines to run gas lines to my garage.

Ok, now how about up north with the snow loads on the roof. Are there shut offs to prevent the fan from running when not needed.

Looks like I'm going with the T5's. Not quite sure about the bulbs though, the daylight ones seem like those bright white headlights on cars. What is below that but not as low as cool white?

Charles, just reading your thread. How did the T5's perform in the cold?

Just finished reading this thread and now I'm more confused then ever. Still not sure which to go with, T5 or T8, considering that I'm in a cold climate. My garage will probalbly not see more than 50 to 55 degrees and most of the time not be heated at all.

Stopped by Home Depot and checked out their lights. True about the difference between T5 and T8 eing like day and night.

never got around to getting some pic. Anyway received the capacitor in the mail yersterday and installed it. Guess it must be the motor. It will turn but not come up to speed. That will be another rainy day project.

67, I see you used galvanized pipe. That's pretty sturdy.
