when i was shopping for compressor, i found a ton of motors that were single and 3 phase all within the same model compressor. So i think you'd really have to see the motor plate like Zrexxer said. Grainger and McMaster Carr both sell electric motor fairly cheap($250-$380) for most 3-5HP single...

Thanks for the welcome. I have the flex line in place, and I have the intention of converting to hard line just before I go through the wall, does it matter where I make the conversion? Its a C.H. 135 Gal.
