    My northeast Florida shop

Two and half years later, an update!!!! This week I ended up getting spray foam insulation put in my shop. After a couple of years of dealing with moisture and mildew, I convinced the wife it was the best way to go. After I emptied it out, I pressure washed all the walls and floor, as they...

actually, I was researching a little more and also trying to figured the best way to use that stuff and it really doesn't seem feasible anyway....This is a "budget" build. LOL like the extra money I had went to the toys inside....LOL Thanks for the heads up on the warranty though, I...

Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT The cheaper option garage build, 30x40 in NE Florida

Nice looking setup! You are finishing it out very nice! I got a similar building from Handi House in Orange Park...I tried to talk to Bennet Buildings across the street from them and the salesman didn't want to talk, he was too busy doing something else. No biggie, the Handi-house people...

well, it has been just over a year since the building was put up and the damn thing is already full.......didnt take long once I got the new (to me) boat. During the planning stages, I didnt think about storing one inside...but it is nice to get done with a day on the water and be able to just...

    Concrete pad on "steep" hill

I was going to have the same issue, luckily my wife was there and she stopped them from finishing the forms until I talked with the concrete guy. I ended up renting a tractor and digging into the hill about 18" to make it levelish. The cut doesnt hold water around the concrete...been...

    Ventilation/Cooling Metal Insulated Building

I am trying to decide what I want in my 24x36x12. I only have 1 roll up door and one walk through door. I have been looking at some 60-72" indoor/outdoor fans....some around 130 each, up to 300. I'm in FL, so it gets a little warm. As of now, it is not insulated... Brian

Finally hit the magic number of days so I could seal the concrete. I ended up going with Sherwin Williams Tile-clad. It was recommended to me by a friend of mine that does the same kind of work that I plan on doing in mine. I wanted something that has had a better rep than stuff from the box...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT From a "double" to a DOUBLE

no problem, thats why we are all here! Always have to think ahead 2-3 (or more) steps on any kind of build.....Good luck with whatever they come up with, always some sort of growing pain on a new place. Brian

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT From a "double" to a DOUBLE

Any word on your foundation? IMO, I would get the footers put in now for a lift, even if you dont plan on getting one right away. Do a little research on the type and size of lift you want and look at the dimensions. Most of the 2 post lifts use roughly the same width between the posts...

    My northeast Florida shop

I am south of Jacksonville in Middleburg. It has been a process for sure and its not even close to being done yet. It will be worth it once it is all done though. I still need to decide what I want to do with the floor. I know I should seal it with something, but I am not wanting to spend a...

Try number one....FAIL Too shallow....pulled plastic and compacted (after termite spray) inspector came and knew they did work after the spray...failed inspection....re-spray! While the plastic was off, I had him put in the extra 3x3 footers for a 2 two post lift...that were supposed to be...
