    Thanks for the reply. How about quick connectors? Do you know anything about them? They are pretty cheap compared to a fuser and sound a lot easier too (that is if they would work at all) lol.

    I'm not sure what kind of fiber optical wire it is... It is extremely thin, like the diameter of a piece of speaker wire (Just the left or right). It's grey and emits a red light. It's stuff straight out of the 80's or 90's. replacing the whole wire would not be easy.

    I've read on it a little but they seem to require a special tool for fusing the wire together which costs money I don't have. I've always read there are quick connects for them but not sure if they work for all fiber optic cables or not and how good they work.
