I just ordered 4x 8' lights from LEDMyplace.ca reviews look out standing and install pics look like too much light is all right. I have vaulted to 14.5 foot ceilings and hope this will do the job. I'll keep everyone posted.

I appreciate this thread, I'm wiring and hanging my bay lights, vaulted ceiling from 11.5' to 14.5'. I'm just trying to heat my two zone shop modestly without purchasing a new heat source for each room. The jam room is 196 square feet and want to keep it a steady temp while the rest of the shop (1000 square feet) will just be heat as you use it. If I use a hanging shop heater I'll have to get two.

I just figure a room that's that small, built with 2x6's and heavily insulated it shouldn't be that hard to keep heated this way. If i can keep the excess utility cost below $30/mth I'd be happy.

Floor finish will be whatever is easiest, I think with that system you have to put 1/4" ply over to level the trenches before carpeting. But if I can drop cheap lam. right over top I will. There's always something ugly at the local depot that someone special ordered that you can catch on the...
