    Milwaukee 2105 Flashlight Issues

I have 3 of the Milwaukee 2105 flashlights and within 6 months, all broke at the switch. Either the switch broke or the rubber cover wears out then the switch breaks soon after making them inoperable. I admit that I use them a lot for work but these are no better than dollarstore lights. I...

Applying RTV ( What is your preferred method? )

Topic of the thread is a person's preferred method. Hand squeezing for decades is fine. My preferred method changed from hand to a dispenser.

Applying RTV ( What is your preferred method? )

I have a valco tube grip but I took a chance and bought a "tube squeezing machine", similar to the previous post. https://www.amazon.ca/Toothpaste-Squeezing-Silicone-Universal-Injection/dp/B0D9CJZMQB/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1ZGD5OTMQCLS6&sprefix=tube+squeezing+machine%2Caps%2C118&sr=8-5 Its only been...

    Deep Socket Broach Depth

Some automotive sensors require full broaching otherwise they won't fit. I have some old usa craftsman sockets especially for that.

Diagonal flush cutters for plastics and cable ties specifically

I have 3 milwaukee flush cuts, bought from the dollar store for pretty cheap. They cut pretty good but if you look closely, looks like they honed the cutting edges with a chainsaw. Also makes a good fingernail cutter

    Caulking Gun Question?

Question about dripless caulking guns: I have a non-dripless caulking gun, when I'm applying a long bed, the caulk continues to flow when I'm pumping the handle and it looks like a seemless fairly smooth caulking bead. With a dripless gun, if your applying a long bead and have to pump the...

    Flush Cut Diagonal Pliers

Bought 5 milwaukee flush cutters from dollarama for $5cdn each, gave a few away. Work nice for cutting your fingernails too...

    Cordless inflators, Milwaukee or Ryobi?

Milwaukee does make a vehicle charger but it's just another expense and makes things overly complicated just to top up a low tire. I do keep a 12-volt viair inflator in the car for emergencies, but it's a hassle to use just for top ups as you have to unpack and pack the cords neatly.

    Cordless inflators, Milwaukee or Ryobi?

The milwaukee could be the top dog if it had a 12 volt vehicle adapter. Useless on the road if the battery is weak. But great at home.

Battery crimper and top post connectors

The hammer type crimpers are ok on the bench but hard to use on the vehicle were you don't have any support to hammer on. The cheaper hydraulic are a gamble against leaks I've never had any problems with this screw type crimper. Can be used anywhere and it wont leak. Crimper

Time to buy a new tool, looking to get a smoke machine, any ones better than others?

I followed someone else's post about making a smoke machine from a handheld vaccum pump that actually works. You just attach a cigarette to the vacuum pump and pump the smoke into the car. The drawback is its expensive to buy cigarettes and the vacuum pump starts smelling like an ashtray. But it...

Replacement 12v test light for OTC 3633

I find led test lights next to useless for checking power. For checking grounds they are ok. If checking for power, I always use a testlight with a domelight bulb in it. They draw about 1 amp. If the test light is bright, the power is more than likely ok. If its dim, the circuit is more than...

Best Shop Vac model ever made?

May not be the best, but I have the stainless steel wet/dry rigid with the optional long 2 1/2 inch hose. I have not used it for wet applications yet. I use the internal bag so its easy to clean out. That thing ***** (in a good way)

    Milwaukee Fails

Have 3 of these aaa flashlights, https://www.milwaukeetool.ca/Products/Lighting/Personal-Lighting/2105 They all broke in the exact same area near the switch. They all have a lifetime warranty, so I took them to the official Milwaukee repair center. They said it's not warrantable because is due...

    TPMS Scan Tools

I have an Autel TS401 that about 2 years old, out of warranty and it does not turn on. I made sure the battery is charged and I tested the voltage, its ok. But the unit still will not turn on. The screen used to turn on automatically when it was plugged into the usb, but it does not turn on...
