Recommendations on flex head wrench set?

I’m going to email them. The wording in their warranty faq made me think you needed to buy the tools from one of their certified (?) retailers. I’ll update when they give me an answer. Pretty disappointed with how long they lasted though. I’ve had my gearwrench set for years, and I’m a daily...

Recommendations on flex head wrench set?

Update: I ended up but 2 Williams reversible wrenches. They both failed in the last 2 weeks. Looking at their website it doesn’t sound like they will warranty them.

    Any ICON fans?

I work in mechanical and collision repair. I use Icon daily, been great. I also bought a couple Williams ratchet wrenches 6 months ago that have both failed. I find it funny the brands that are praised/shamed on here. I also own a Tekton ratchet wrench. I can’t say Tekton quality is higher...

Any full time collision techs? Looking for a belt molding tool. Hoping to order tonight..

I work in all cars. And yes the Honda’s bend but I get them off 90% of the time without damage using the lisle/matco tool.

Anybody try one of these eBay telescoping transmission jacks?

If anyone ever needs this info, I bought a cheap one off eBay for like $150 a few years ago. It works but the adjustment screw to tilt the jack screwed up after only a couple uses. Not a hard fix though

Any full time collision techs? Looking for a belt molding tool. Hoping to order tonight..

I believe it’s Honda’s that give me trouble. They bend. It’s more than the screw on the end that holds them and most have tabs/keeps that hook under the lip of the door edge that need to be pried out

Any full time collision techs? Looking for a belt molding tool. Hoping to order tonight..

I’ve used a Matco tool that I’m positive is just a rebranded lisle. That’s been the best one I’ve used. I’m looking to order one tonight and I see there’s a mayhew tool that’s probably decent. Any input? Lisle/matco tool ive used is in pics

How many have broken impact sockets of any kind.

I use HF impact sockets daily with no problems. I did bust a impact socket a couple weeks ago, it was the oriellys Power torque (or something like that). I’ve had terrible luck with that brand have broke at least 3 tools from that company.

New Icon Pliers Wrench Thoughts (and comparison to Knipex)

I bought these icon pliers. The quality is fine but honestly they’re a little more trouble than just grabbing a crescent. I don’t love them as much as I thought I would.

Need a new screwdriver set for daily/proffesional

Definitely keeping this under $100, hopefully $50 range, but I’m considering everything. right now I’m considering Witte, Icon, sunex, maybe Cornwell if I found a deal. A foam case to stick in toolbox is a plus I almost bought the Icon set earlier, I’ve been a fan of the Icon tools. Not...

Can anything beat these pry bar set for this price range?

I’ve got a couple of the black “hyper tough” bars from Walmart and they are really solid. I’m not sure you can beat them. I’m full time collision repair. They get used.

HF Brake Bleeder as fluid extractor

I’ve used the brake bleeder to extract fluid from small reservoirs but you really want something like this… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002SR7TC/?tag=atomicindus08-20 they sell a similar product at HF that I’m sure works fine and maybe even cheaper.

^^^not a bad price considering how many wrenches are included. Anyone used these? They’re cheap

Looking for a “cheap” set of large metric ratcheting wrenches. 21mm and up

Flex head and/or reversible would be a plus, but I’m open to to anything ratcheting. Just need a good set for front end work.
