Yes those twist valves are horrible. I did the same setup on my vertical tank with a brass 1/4 turn valve to drain.[emoji106][emoji106]

You need good ventilation and the problem with the insulation on the outside is it insulates the metal and concrete on the inside from warming up in the spring. It holds the overnight temperatures and condenses the warm moist air.
I am in Massachusetts and have the same problem every spring but...
Why would you choose to use R19 (6 1/4) insulation and squish it down to a R11 in a 3 1/2" gap and deal with a wavy wall when you can use an R13 or R11 3 1/2" insulation and have a nicer wall and less hassle for installing and cost. You can actually gain insulation value. Seems like a...
It's that time of year here in New England. Had the day off and after a moist and overcast morning the sun came out and warmed things up nicely! I decided to clean up the garage. I opened up the three overhead doors and sure enough every metal surface was covered with a layer of water in about...
Always ended up using a piece of bicycle inner tube i has laying around. Good grip and stopped any marring. And free.. [emoji57]

In RI you are going to have a 4' frost protection from grade to bottom of your footing. Depending on the layout you may be able to step the footing over the line or sleeve it through the foundation wall. It is done all the time. I think you need an 8" buffer below the footing if you are stepping...
You may want to try a silicone caulking. Put a small amount on the plastic surface where the seat bolts to the toilet. This will give a little grip to the slick plastic contact to the porcelain. Then fill the bolt holes with caulking and tighten the bolt. This will take up the wiggle room of the...
My door is typically locked only when we are sleeping, the only time anything really important is in the house!
If someone is going to rob me I don't want a broken slider door or windows. A lock is not going to stop a thief. My handgun will if I am home though. I spend my money on surveillance...
1 1/2" would be better and you need enough venting area to get airflow. That is usually the problem. Not enough flow and the heat has to go somewhere and reducing your gains.

Yes it will. You need to make sure you have a ventilation gap between the insulation and the underside of the roof. You also want plenty of vents at the bottom and top of the roof. This will cause a natural draft above the insulation and save your roofing material from the build-up of heat...
Just picked up the AHP alphatig201xd for less than 700. It has good reviews online. Comes with swivel torch, updated pedal, and stick leads.. I am just a home hobby guy so this will more than meet my needs. (Bottle not included)

Sooo jealous. Plenty of room there. I really like the overhang. I did a 26x40 wood frame garage. It would be my perfect shop if my wife didn't insist on using it as a ...garage. [emoji6]
