He decided to just use a driveway sealer. It should work fine. I don't want to risk the effort doing epoxy only to have it come off. The manufs. I spoke with will not warranty w/o vapor barrier.
Thanks
I'm helping my friend build his shop (1,800 s.f.) and we are at the point of sealing the floor. He doesn't want to spend a fortune but I'm looking for a good epoxy to reccomend to him. What I use is too expensive for his budget.
Secondly are the one part epoxys any good?
He wants a grey floor...
If he grinds it have him do a proper skim coat. Why should you be responsible? Is this a new house? Also replacing the pad is no problem. He just saws out the bad and repours. Being attached to the house makes no difference.
Let us know what the rep says tomorrow.
Good Luck
At the end of every job I bring all my extra materials back to HD. Some jobs are 6 months long and the number of items can be between 50 and 75 and takes 20-30 minutes. I've never had a complaint from staff or management. I do have a commercial card but don't know if that makes a difference.

You owe me a beer.
I used a vinyl logo not painted. If you wanted they could also make you a stencil so you could paint it on yourself and then clear. Call 'Fast Signs'. The logo has to be in their file or sometimes they won't do it because of copywrite issues.
Hmmmmm. I would think the opposite would be true? At least I thought so when I did mine. He has 40' of wall and if he pulls in he will have to do alot of manuvering to move a car to the side. At least that was my thought process. I kind of looked at mine like driving lanes. With the two doors I...
Bimmer is right about the curing compound they spray on. Just don't ever use it on a floor you want to paint.
At least a week covered making sure it's wet underneath.
Sawcutting needs to be done within the first 72 hours and needs to be done properly (min. of 25% of depth)
Have him hit it with a hammer (several times) or do it yourself before he comes. If it continues to break up or sounds hollow make him pull it up and replace it. It would be nice to know if there is a vapor barrier and compacted gravel/ stone under it.
If you are really concerned have him get...
