Here’s mahogany and oak with three coats of Arm-R-Seal.

Do linseed and tung oil require sanding between coats? Or are they a 1 coat product?

A little update: I went with the Arm-R-Seal, pretty easy to apply with a rag. I let it dry 24 hours and reapplied. I did 3 coats. Very satisfied however its time consuming, I’ll try Deft next.

I found a store that sells Arm-R-Seal. The label on mine says “oil based topcoat” not the suggested “Oil based” one.

I need to finish up these projects. I’m looking for an easy finish, maybe tongue oil or bees wax? Cabinets are pine, pipe rack is mahogany and oak. I like a satin finish. Thanks

Makes sense as this was found in an industrial setting. Since it’s hard on equipment I think I’ll sell it and get something else.

Not pallet wood. This was on the pallet. I have maybe 15 boards that have been stored in my shed for years.

Years ago we found a pallet of this. It was marked that it was from Australia. AI said it’s mahogany and I think that’s probably right. It’s very heavy. I’m starting a cabinet project and was thinking of using it. Thanks
