Roto ratchet comparison - GW, SK & Carlyle

I see. Heavy torque would be a nice option, but I'm a small engine mechanic for Sears. So I wonder bout how heavy the limit is.... I'm considering just getting the 1/4" one, the T-handle feature could save some time. Anyone know of a better version that could handle more torque? Do they...

Roto ratchet comparison - GW, SK & Carlyle

Bump. Anyone use a fancier roto-lock ratchet? Its got the T-handle option which is more of an add-on than the locking part to me. Does anyone that has it like it more than a regular roto-ratchet? Or do all the gadgets get in the way? I'm looking to purchase my first roto. Like this...

Haven't tried them and that doesn't really say much lol. But I'm interested too in how they work. Seems like Omega only sells good ****

Anybody know about VEGA screwdriver bits?

I emailed them awhile back about if they would be good in an impact driver. It went like this:" VHS100A Vega Standard Master Industrial Screwdriver Bit Set, 100 Piece Are the bits in this set good for use in an impact driver? ( 1,200 in. Lbs. Torque) Usually products specify but I can't find...

    Thanks, just ordered it.

Milwaukee-Home Depot Deal of the day 1-1-16

Hell yeah. I bought the m12 3/8 impact wrench kit about a month ago. So I'm thinking about returning that and ordering the 3/8 impact with the 1/4 ratchet kit. The 1/4" ratchet has 30 ft. lbs torque, is that enough for most 1/4" fasteners? Is it worth the buy?

    American vs. Swiss Files

The longer ones are a lot more expensive. Why? Are they worth investing in? I'm training to do small engine work. Anyone have recommendations on sets of files to get? Quality but not top price. Around 5 a file would be nice, could go a little higher. Maybe 10 if it was an incredible set.

Yeah thats what I meant. I guess I can read that whole catalog if I want to know more, thanks.

    American vs. Swiss Files

I'm curious and I couldn't find a thread on it here. I see its a difference in the fineness, with three grades from coarse to smooth in American, and eight grades in Swiss. Who actually needs that much precision or fineness? Would it be beneficial in engine repair? As a side question, I'm...

    Cheap Starter Torque Wrench List

Yeah I dont wanna guesstimate. Beam torque wrenches should be fairly reliable and accurate though, would you agree on Gearwrench 0-60in.lbs and Craftsman's beam's probably a good bet? I want a large range, low budget. I am gonna get the Precision instruments 40-200in. lbs 1/4" drive clicker new...

Craftsman Professional Retaining / Snap Ring Pliers Set - $53.19

Kastar's does say its made in USA on tooltopia, and the product number is the same as Lang's (3495). I'm guessing theyre the same. Anyone have these? I'll be getting them at some point unless I hear something.

    Cheap Starter Torque Wrench List

So do you think gearwrench is a bad beam? Seems like Armstrong rebrands it. How do you get a bad beam? I'm not going with the cheapest at least. Some people exclusively use beams, they're harder to read but I can deal with the hassle for awhile. Then when I upgrade I can use these to test...
