Are there any other differences or disadvantages to the Base Tile vs the Diamond? What about cost?

I've been considering Racedeck for my garage, but am not sure about the coin or diamond texture. I found that Snap Lock, maker of Racedeck, has another product called Base Floor, which is smooth. Has anyone used this for their garage?
