    CLEANEST shop?

I like what you've done to the floor. What did you use to seal the concrete? I like the natural look instead of the fancy epoxies everyone is blowing big $$$ on.

Why are Snap-On toolboxes so expensive?

That may be true, but a new Tradesman likely has as much or more standard equipment than a 2007 Laramie did except maybe the leather seats and carpet. Yes new vehicle prices are out of control, but all this added tech in the past 10 years certainly hasn't helped keep the price down. We have...

    New Garage Build 36x56x13.5

On my way to building my dream garage. We have the groundwork done, forms set up, vapor barrier, insulation, remesh and radiant in floor heat tubing all run in anticipation of concrete being poured on Monday 8/14. It will be 36x56 stick construction with 6" concrete slab with the outside...

    Mr. Heater Big Maxx Problem

It's not the safety (high flame or rollout) switch. That problem we had early on and would get the 4 flash code and would have to reset the switch. Now it just randomly shuts the gas valve off and not getting good heat out of it. No codes. Also just replaced the board thinking it may have...

    Mr. Heater Big Maxx Problem

Not sure if I'm a bad guy for resurrecting this thread but I am having a problem with the MHU50 Big Maxx heater we bought for a building. They only come set up for NG now and you have to do conversion if using LP. I also have the MHU80 in my garage and that one came set up for LP from the...

Above 1200 Sq/FT building my BIG PARTY garage

Just read all 89 pages today. My eyes are tired. I love a good diner, and a nice garage. To have it all on one piece of property must be like eutopia! Outstanding work Don and I'll be sure to keep checking back. Happy Holidays!

I Want A More Powerful 1/2 Impact Than My IR 2131

Aircat 1150. I just picked one up for $177 shipped. It will bust nuts loose that an IR 261 3/4 drive wouldn't even touch. Engineered and assembled in the USA too which the IR's no longer are (China)

let's see your craftsman block grinders

Giving the ole' block some love today. Simple Green is a great thing It's never been cleaned up since it's been here in the garage since 1987. I'm guessing this is from the mid-late '60s based on the switch and style. I can't find date stamped on the bottom plate anywhere. I need a spark...

let's see your craftsman block grinders

It is a 1/3 HP, model 397.19580 design C2371. The only thing missing is the spark arrestor on the side with the grinding stone. Any idea where I could score one of these? The light works still too. Anyone have any idea what time period this model was built? I pulled it up off the bench...

How has your snap on experience been?

My local SO guy is great, and so is the regional rep that also had neighboring route some years ago. Truck is always fully stocked, and if he is sold out of something always has it the next week. He's been in the game forever and while he doesn't give stellar deals on stuff, repairs and...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Had to clean out a bunch of water in mine too. It went under the doors, and under the walls in a couple places where there are cracks in the concrete. All this ice this year is horrible. I've never had standing water in the garage before. Time to rethink my drainage and runoff I think.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

I've finally read all 356 pages and all I can say is WOW! The restoration of the shop and all the surrounding projects is nothing short of phenomenal. I could only hope and pray to be able to have such a nice shop with all that good old-fashioned well built equipment. You just can't go out...
