    My workbench build

Thanks for the compliments, I really enjoyed it. I was able to paint the garage but have yet to paint the cabinets. My 69 chevelle had to be moved from storage unexpectedly and started to dive into it. I bought an 8x7 garden shed for the back yard and have moved a lot of bulky items you see in...

curb side finds show us your treasures

Scored this a few houses down from me. I thought for sure it needed an overhaul. I replaced the hose and fired it up. Holds pressure and runs just fine. Score.

    My workbench build

Finished the uppers today and got all the hardware on. Drawer liners are in and finally getting tools organized. Also got paint samples for the walls. Plan on grey bottom with blue strip (trimming out the stripe with black pin stripe) and white above that.

    Lets see your workbench

Here's my attempt at a frameless style work bench/tool storage. Not entirely finished but the fronts will be painted blue (hoping for a high gloss finish to mimic metal tool chest). Also building upper cabinets to match. More pictures when its done. 8' wide 40" tall 22" deep. This is my first...

    My workbench build

Probably closer to $250 but yes, that includes material, hardware and screws. I could draw something up if you're interested and give you more specific numbers.

    My workbench build

The 3" drawers were designed to fit all my wrenches and sockets. The 10" drawer will hold my circular saw, drills and other power tools. I decided on 6" drawers for the others as it could be a catch all. I would like to have done more 3" drawers but the cost would have been much higher. I...

    My workbench build

I posted a few months back about my need for a workbench and tool storage (original design and post here www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274519) This was my first shot at carpentry and had to really take my time to ensure it would come out as I'd hoped. I didn't have the cash to...

Looking for feedback on workbench idea

I wish I had the 2k to spend on those but I have to pick my battles. The wife is gracious enough with my chevelle build I'd surely end up sleeping on that bench. I plan on taking my time and thinking about the build, drawing everything out and making sure I don't cut corners (which is why I'm...

Looking for feedback on workbench idea

hmm, not showing bolded/underlined on my end, must have been inadvertent. At any rate I corrected it to just cabinets. I hadn't thought of using a face frame and just doing full face drawers to mimic the frameless style. I also thought about putting casters on the toe kick structure but am...

Looking for feedback on workbench idea

First I joined a month or so back and really enjoy looking at other members projects and builds. Awesome place for ideas! I moved in to my current house back in April and upgraded from a 1 car garage to a 3 car. I'm in dire need of tool storage and cabinets. I currently have cheap metal and...
