Fun and Games ... PEX and Rodents

Same here. I always catch 6-12 every fall, with traps under my kitchen sink. Then nothing until next fall. They get under there through the hole the pipes come through the wall. I almost covered the hole once, but realized I kill them all there, so who knows where they'll go if i plug it.

    2x4 basics

I used deckmates to build a bench off one side of my deck. I extended the backs higher, as I have a bar height railing, 3 deck boards deep as rail top tables.

I also have a now discontinued craftsman 1/2hp I picked up from sears outlet for 40$. Dont remember the model number off the top of mythe head, but it has a purple learn button. I was having problems locating a craftsman extension kit, so i bought an extension kit for a liftmaster at lowes. Same...

    New Dewalt Impact Wrench

I've had that same style dewalt gun for probably 7-8 years. My only complaint with mine is the pin detent. It got so annoying having to stick a allen key or screwdriver in the socket hole to release it, I wound up grinding the pin down some. I wonder if switching it out to the hog ring style is...

    Ponding water question...

I live in a neighborhood that was built as summer bungalows back in the 1920's. My house has had a few additions, but is still where it was originally build almost 80 years ago. There were originally dirt roads, and when they paved them many years ago, the asphalt is above the gradeing on every...

    Harbor Freight Coupon Thread

Don't bother with the auto drain. I bought one, and I gave up after having to replace every fitting, and it constantly leaking. I even went to prestolok fittings and copper tubing, and sealed everything with rectorseal, but it is still a piece of garbage. Good idea, but poor execution

    Oil Change Tool

I'd rather spend $10 on a garden sprayer and get a few changes out of it, rather than having to use a hand pump. Pumping 3 quarts of 90wt while laying on the ground leads to a sore shoulder.

    Maglite XL 100 flashlight

I went to the fenix site you linked, but I refuse to ever again buy a 123 battery flashlight. They tend to die at the worst possible times. That's why I stick to rechargeable while at work. The old d-cell maglites stay in the garage and house.

    Oil Change Tool

I've used the same technique for filling my trans. I need to change the oil in my transfer case and diffs, I wasn't sure if a garden sprayer would be able to push 90wt, but thanks for reassuring me. I usually use a suction gun to fill the diffs, and a container top pump for the transfer case.

    Maglite XL 100 flashlight

Because it's not designed for someone to use to look under their hood in a garage. It's designed for LE/MIL use. My Stinger DS LED has the safe features (minus SOS), and use all those features at work. Strobe works great (along with a cone attachment) when your standing in the street at 3am...

    16' tall 2x6 walls?

With the engineering costs, it might be easier to have whomever pours the foundation to lay 8 courses of block, and then 8' 2x6's over that. But make sure to run that past the building dept first.
