    Memorable screw ups

If I remember correctly it was 1996-97. I had a 1993 LX coupe and decided I needed to go fast. I found an old Mexican block and stroked it out to a 347. I used some TFS highport heads and an Edelbrock efi performer intake. This is their first version that had the bolt on the inside of the upper...

    2018 Garage Sale Thread

I collected a couple of "new to me tools" over the past couple of days. First up is a Jet JJ-6 Joiner. It's missing the cutting guard but hopefully it won't be too hard to find. Besides the guard it runs great. Next, I found a Bosch 11264evs at a pawn shop on the sketchy side of town . Ended...

Prewiring Network and Cable - Worth the Cost or DIY?

A friend and I wired my house for phone, coaxial and cat5 over a weekend while the house was framed back in 2003. It was a fun project and I'm glad I did it. Now, we don't use the phone anymore since we got rid of our house phone in 2014. The coaxial isn't used for cable anymore but I did put a...

Anyone here using inventory management software?

Like Strouty said, an excel spreadsheet is more than adequate to handle what you are trying to do and most people already have excel. I use excel to keep track of 8500+ autograph plugs in four different storage locations at work. It works like a charm.

    2016 Garage Sale Thread

Found a Scag SW48 that had a blown motor. The owner tried replacing the 14hp Kawasaki with a newer 17hp Kawasaki. He had it bolted to the mower and the pulley's taken care of. He could not figure out the throttle, choke, PTO and electrical connections. I took it home for $500.

    Calling all you Concrete Pros

That is a good price. I'm having my driveway concreted this week. It's a total of 4735sqft or 58yds of concrete for $21,500.

post your tools left in the engine bay story

I might as well share too. I bought a brand new 1993 Mustang and of course within a year I was replacing the motor with something bigger and better. At the moment it was a 306 with a Paxton blower. I replaced the motor since 93 was the first year Ford switched from forged to hypereutectic...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I haven't had to do the rods yet. Besides this the only other issue I've had with the washer is some code related to the spin cycle and it was caused by a loose connection on the stator. I took off the connector reattached it and it's worked fine ever since. My rebuild didn't start very well...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Right before Christmas our Whirlpool Cabrio washer started a high pitch whine when on spin cycle. I Looked it up and apparently the bearings go after a while. We've had this machine since 2007 without an issue which is an anomaly from everything I've read online with the Cabrio line. It's been a...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Finally got the concrete pored in the pole barn today. I got to man a wheel barrow from the concrete truck to the pour area since that is the extent of my knowledge of pouring concrete. I left everything else to the guys who knew what they were doing. Lots of fun and I am glad it's over!
