    Opinions wanted on Racedeck Design

Be careful with white or light colored tiles. They are hard to keep clean. Just my experience.

??'s about Acetal Plastic Machining (Delrin)

I machine Delrin quite a bit. Use the 10-24 tap with a #25 tap drill. No need to freeze it prior. I wouldn't power tap it though. JMT

where would you use 10-24 bolt/thread. common uses

I'll use 10-24 a lot in alum. and Delran fixturing. More meat per thread. In my book, less chance of stripping threads.

Help: Alum Dull Brushed Finish? How to?

I use a oscillating sander with a scotch brite pad under it and a little WD-40 for lubricant. That gives a nice finish.

    Countersink tool for steel

I have to agree. I've had a set of Weldons for 30 years and I love them. You don't get the chatter with them.

Do You Love The Sound of Music or Do You Enjoy The Silence?

Music, defiantly music. Be it at work or in the garage. It drowns the voices in my head out. They kind of scare me.

    Ultimate Machine Shop Organization

I've used foam to organize my tool box for years,, Not only does it keep things organized but it also keeps them from getting damaged by banging into each other. I purchased mine thru Kennedy. It's served me well so far.

The guy must be making money hand over fist. He just added a new Haas VM3 to his line up. No bad for a garage start up.

    Best Budget Mini-mill?

I would look at the square column Enco. It does a fair job. Just be aware of it's limitations.

$400 to run 220v in my garage?

Yea, it all depends on the location of the main box , ect, ect ,ect. I had 220v run to my garage along with 3) 220v outlets ans 3) 110v (4 way)outlets and a sub panel. It was around $500. Worth every penny.
