Go to a thrift store, pick up an old remote control, pull batteries out, and you will find the correct springs.

Snuck out to the far garage and did more paint striping work on the Dalton From this to this not perfect, but better. Then spent time cleaning up the bench out there, as I will have a different project coming up and will need it.

Between the dog park and getting my hair cut, I managed to find a couple sales with things of interest partial Cornwell ignition set, partial hex key set, some small drivers, a Craftsman ratchet in need of lube, and an unused Furnas high/low/stop switch. I also picked up some Japanese literature:

Brought the Dalton headstock and tailstock over to the basement shop to get as clean as possible and all the **** paint removed. I am really happy with how much of the original Japaning is still there under the slop. Why do people feel the need to repaint everything, especially if they aren't...

I was going to go and test out the previous mentioned fix to my kipplauf but a friend called me this AM and asked for help in finding a lost dog. So, I made flyers for him and helped run them out. After that, I pulled the headstock on the Dalton, and started getting that cleaned up on the underside.
