I would get one of the nailers that uses the stick of 16D nails. That way you can also use the 8D nails in them for siding and any other work that would require that size of nail. Check to make sure that the nailer will use them though, I have a Senco that will work with both sizes.

How far is it from your house to the garage? If it's not far build an enclosed walkway and that way it would be attached. I don't know whether that would make it a legally attached garage, but it may be worth a shot.

I was given a 60 gallon compressor tank, so I put my compressor and motor on it and want to locate it in the loft of my barn. Total run of pipe would be about 50 feet with 4 foot drops. I have access to all the 1/2 inch galvanized that I need, but don't know if the is big enough. Any help...
