    What happeend to these Stanley Hammers?

    Had two SO hammers do this in the last 5 or 6 years. One dead blow and one ball peen, both orange. Both were replaced with just a phone call to Snap On. No shipping the pieces back for inspection. Been retired for 8 years, so no contact with a dealer. SO also just sent me a 1/4" ratchet...

    New snap on socket set missing sockets???

    The warranty would not be null and void. The warranty is for defects. I would be very surprised if any manufacturer warranties a packaging issue with something bought 2nd hand. It's not from an authorized dealer.

    Just a tinkerer here, rarely need super accuracy. I have a Central dial, Kanon, HF digital, and 3 HF plastic calipers. I use the plastic ones constantly, not so much the other ones.

    Extension advice

    The impact extensions are bulky - may not fit in some areas. The only problems I have with extensions in general is when they don't hold the socket.

    I worked with a guy once who never wiped his tools off. When you picked up one of his tools you got a hand full of grease. No one ever borrowed his tools.

    Smooth Jaw Needle Nose Pliers, Uses?

    When I was a motorcycle mechanic, I used them for removing the wire clamp on fuel lines and pulling the rubber fuel line off.
