Got sidetracked but am still working on it. Just got heat in garage so can work on it (it's now about 0 degrees Celsius here in Calgary AB and going down).

The saw is factory wired with a NEMA 6-15P and 14/3 wire and the manual tells me it has protection so I think I will wire up all the stuff I bought and make a patch cord then try it out. I let all of you know how it turns out. Thanks again for all the help.

DenisG Thanks for the tip. My saw is a B2397 2HP 1 PH and is prewired for 220v with a Nema 6-15 factory cord, so after I wire up a patch cord I'll try it.

I have 2 other 6-30R's on that line so that is not an option. is there an inline breaker I could use/build for just my saw?

I just bought a used Craftex 10" table saw with a Nima 6-15 plug for 220v power but my garage is wired for 220V Nima 6-30 wall socket. First there is a size difference (6-15 is smaller) If I build an adapter will that cause an electrical problem?
