I've never found HD/Lowe's to be cheaper. Thought I could on a few small LTL orders and they were more than double the next best. Haven't checked in a while but they're often buying through the supplier I'll buy from directly so they've gotta have a massive volume buy to overcome their markup to...
If you believe this then you're leaving a lot of money on the table for pretty much anything sold by the foot, yard, ton, gallon, etc. I work in the construction business so I know a few things on the commercial side. Thanks for your response.
You want pictures of the pole to mount meter and barn wall? Not looking for an EE to design it, just wanted a head start on sourcing material and I know enough to adjust. If anyone wants MEP permit or shop drawings for apartments I’m happy to provide…MEP wise, not much difference between Miami...
Why? Not looking for a special one-off list just for me. Anyone that bid out service recently or DIY for their new permitted garage of similar size should have one.
Howdy folks,
Single Phase 200amp service in Florida.
I've got an ag barn and want to get service to it. The good thing is that I don't need a permit (ag). Does anyone have a material list they can share from a recent project? I've got a real electrician (friend of a friend) to do the main work...
I’m trying to rebuild a building (long story) quickly. Truss shops are min 8weeks out so I’m looking for another option. Anyone make connectors? I don’t want plates but was hoping on a simple system where I can insert the top chords into a bracket so my angles are consistent. Thankfully this is...
where are you getting your rough ballpark from? Material is ~20% of the truss cost. My local guys are on a shorter lead time than a year ago and im seeing a ~10% price jump for trusses delivered.
Anecdotal info. Was just organizing my invoices and my Jan 20 order order was $4.99 per 2x6x12 #2 SYP from local lumber house. Same board was between $10-$11 in my snap order quotes from Lowe's and HD at that same time and I just went to HD online and that same board is $16.58 today...bigbox...
The welds ugly and I personally don’t see a nice vintage patina. If it were me, I’d take a wire wheel to it and then bead blast it try steel wool or Emory cloth if not and put a nice coat of paint in a color that he loved. John Deere green, Chevy orange, etc. I’d present it as finishing the job...
Thanks. This was one of the ones that has so far refused to quote me. Possibly because they see me a potential competitor. If I was buying 10+ I probably would look at becoming a dealer. I know there are other dealers in my area and might reach out but was hoping on a simpler route.
I can’t tell from pics but looks like you’ve got vertical movement so not just from lack of a control joint. If it’s going to be an office (under air) rip up the slab and start over. Looks like it’s moved for whatever reason and I doubt it’s got a vapor barrier under it. You mention HOA. If so I...
Okay folks.
I need five doors. Two rolling. 11'x10' and 12'x14'
Three sectional all 11'x10' I really want all insulated glass for these for a few reasons some of which are functionality.
Are there any good direct purchase options? I can install them myself and every manufacturer i've found...
Wait, so they're complaining but you're the one blocking your own view of the lake if I see the picture correctly. I hope you're putting in a balcony, would probably make for a really nice view.
If you spend any money I'd do it on a surveyor. If you're slightly in the setback or exceeding...
So I think their fans are cool and I’ve seen their largest in action (24’ or whatever) running on three phase. However, if you’ve looked at the price of even their 10’ fans they are prohibitively expensive. I have a directional 5’ on wheels but it’s inefficient and loud.
Has anyone found a...
If it was only happening with the lift motor/pump then I could see a harmonic vibration. Do you have rebar in the floor? I could see that as amplifying things if a lift bolt is touching/close to rebar.
