Nothing comes close to Snap On 3050A. Shearing rivets, driving races, heavy duty work. I use a hammer head for breaking ball joints. It's a hard hitter that gets my vote!!
Hats off to the op for the effort, as it's not always in the budget to spend 2-4 k on a better one. Parts for these trucks are cheap and lots of good experience gained.
I recently bought a stylus pro, uses 2 AAA batteries. They've really improved from the old one I have. Fits nicely in a short pocket not being much bigger than a sharpie. I've always liked the 4AAAA stylus except they don't seem to last, no prob getting warranty though.
Picked this Ammco brake lathe up over the weekend at an auction. All the adapters, bore bar and twin face are all there! Been seeing more of these on CL in $700 -$1500 range.
