Ever do something so stupid you wonder if you should be left unsupervised?

Got one. Changing struts on the wife's T&C the other weekend, but the front tire wouldn't come off. I am about 2-3 ft from my pickup so I lean back on my pickup bed and try to "drop kick" the tire off. Well, shoe slips and I nail my shin on the fender, resulting in raised welt and bleeding...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Love looking through this thread from time to time. Last night I installed the last of new shocks on my 09 Sierra. Only 1 broken bolt and had to take the front in to install the springs, but otherwise a success for the first time. Was fun taking the struts to town hanging out of the bags on...

Need a new corded drill for mixing:

+1 on the low speed one from Harbor Freight. I have one at home that has mixed about 20 bags of concrete and 10 bags of mortar in tubs or 5 gal buckets. Still works like new and much cheaper than the rest. I don't recommend the normal drills there, but the low speed one is good.

advice on my hydronic heat panel

The t&p will go on the side of the hot valve coming out of the bottom of the twh. Quick question about that. Is it a normal valve like that on a water heater or is it a special valve for hydronic applications? How can I better arrange or change the temp/pressure gauge so it is not an air trap...

advice on my hydronic heat panel

Some notes. Things will be straight when i put it all together. The left vertical will elbow over to the bottom manifold. The 4th loop on manifold will be capped for now until I fab up a heat exchanger. Want the ability to keep shop about 50 and turn that on to heat up quick for parties and...

Can I use an outdoor tankless water heater safely inside shop

The manual does not even have an option to hook up a flue. It is all built into the front of the unit. so guess that will not work. I don't want to hook that up outside when it hits -30F here in the winter before the wind chill. Thanks for the help.

Can I use an outdoor tankless water heater safely inside shop

I said i would vent it outside. Is there any real good reason i should not be able to do this? What is the biggest difference b/t indoor and outdoor boilers? --Other than it being outside.

Liftmaster 3800 sensor stops on way up? HELP

I remember why he said he didnt want to change the direction of the drum was that the door would not open as high. Seems to make some sense. Thanks for the ceiling idea patten. Will probably give that a try tomorrow. Is that what you had to do judging from the picture?

Liftmaster 3800 sensor stops on way up? HELP

I am confused here and hoping the GJ wealth of knowledge can help me. I hired a guy to install a liftmaster 3800 opener. The overhead door is 18x9 and has a 10 ft ceiling. There is a low headroom track (double track). After he installed i noticed 2 things. 1. When the sensors are...

    Liftmaster 3800 problems

I just had one of these installed a couple months ago. The thing I noticed was that there seems to be another sensor that flips out like the keypad covers you usually install outside. Check that and make sure that all the wires are connected under the panel on the opener itself. I believe...
