    Klein USA

I bought a Klein metric socket set that has Klein and USA stamped on them. That was in the 1990s. Some yrs later I was going to buy an SAE set but all their socket ads did not have made in the USA anymore so I passed. Their prices had also dropped drastically so I figured they outsourced...

    Marvel mystery oil

Yrs back I used regular MMO in model airplane engine to store them long term...a yr or two. What I found was the MMO hardened to a solid and basically glued them together. It turned hard like a bowling ball. After that I used their air tool oil and it only gummed up instead of get bowling ball...

Anyone use a breaker bar for lug nuts?

Yes, breaker bar just to loosen. Its easier on my 72 yr old body than a lug wrench most of the time, especially on boat trailers used in saltwater.

How to prep and paint garage concrete foundation?

I don't think its anything to worry about. My garage walls are concrete block with smooth stucco and were painted with the same paint the rest of the house was. Now dirty and stained but been there decades without an issue. I repainted one section with water based latex a few yrs ago and it...

    Metal or Asphalt roof

Putting metal on battens fastened to trusses works but for lowest cost it will have to be a screw down deck instead of standing seam. If you look at the metal roof mfg specs most (if not all) say underlayment is needed to repel any water that gets past seams and fasteners. Without decking or an...

OEM Briggs $60 replacement the carb same as $15 ebay/amazon?

Since my last post on this I bought china carb clone for a 38cc craftsman chainsaw. The cman carb had a plastic arm that broke and immediately stopped running. The clone arrived and had a metal arm instead of plastic and runs perfectly. I had to adjust the mixture screws but otherwise another win.

What kind of oil do you put in your oiler cans?

I use regular motor oil and don't care what the specs are. It's used mostly on hand tools for keeping surface rust away.

    I used an 8" C clamp on my wife's 2008 Toyota Rav4. No problem.

Getting old Craftsman 32cc gas blower to start

I think the days of rebuilding these carbs is over. It too much hassle compared to buying a new $12-$15 carb and swapping it out.

Getting old Craftsman 32cc gas blower to start

Did you figure it out yet? The clone carb I ordered by model number for my cman chainsaw came in and I installed it yesterday. The original was a ZAMA...and rebuilt 5-6 yrs ago with the Walbro K10-WAT kit. Faded memory made me think it was a Walbro carb before taking it off. I also checked my...

For cars maybe but...the ABYC (American Boat & Yacht Council) says crimp only and no solder. **** marine surveyors will note corrective action if soldered joints are found.

Getting old Craftsman 32cc gas blower to start

I searched ebay and used various generic terms like sears blower carb, etc. Other models came up but some had a long list in the ad of models that fit. Yours was in the description as a fit. Husqvarna had a $59 carb that showed a match too but I couldn't cross reference it to a $15-20 clone. You...

Getting old Craftsman 32cc gas blower to start

Yep, some cm model numbers don't show up, even on the sears parts site. My cm chainsaw had the last three model numbers on the sticker clearly stamped as 701 and they should have been 711. It took some research to find that out. I just ordered a carb for this chainsaw with all the extras for...
