Good simple set of "L" style hex keys

I would go with the brighter set (chrome or gold) over black. Reasoning is if you drop one it's a lot easier to see when you go to retrieve it.

Good simple set of "L" style hex keys

Asahi DX2000 catcher ball. Expensive but the spring loaded ball works much better than a split ring or nylon insert.

    Snap-on T936 stamp...

Below is a pic of my 2000 T936 ratchet bought new off the truck. As you can see it does not have the circle around (Snap-on USA) nor does it have “on/off” by the selector lever. I have always wondered if this ratchet didn’t make it to the next stamping station or if Snap-on did this...

Is Made in the USA always good/better

Eventually we will only be able to depend on brand not coo to determine quality. Look at the ball bearing industry. An example would be SKF, they have 100’s of factories around the world. Yet when you choose their products you are confident that you’re going to get a quality product no matter...

    Cornwell JR30... A second chance

Below are some pics of a Cornwell JR30 that I purchased in 1986. This was my primary 3/8 ratchet until 1997 when I bought a Snap-on F836 mainly because the Cornwell's chrome had become so bad. Since 1997 the JR30 has sat in one of my tool boxes pretty much forgot about as finding a Cornwell...

    Nepros screwdriver FYI...

@Monte... I have a set of the PB Swissgrip 8100 series. They're great but one can never have enough screwdrivers and that is why the Nepros caught my attention when I saw their illustration and explanation. The actual picture of these drivers on their website is too small to tell if they are in...

    Nepros screwdriver FYI...

I purchased their nice wooden handle set of six screwdrivers primarily because of the information describing their flat tip blades on nepros.net. Based on the illustration I assumed the flat blades would be of a parallel design. I feel somewhat mislead by their information. Deciding whether to...

    Wiha Magic ring hex wrenches

I have not had very good luck with the Wiha magic ring hex keys. The keys that got high usage lost their ability to hold the fastener over time. That and the fact that a couple of the keys had the ring come off didn't set to well with me. Retired two different sets a couple years ago. I use the...
