Thinking of buying 1/4" and 3/8" swivel socket sets to go along with m12 stubby impact gun. Post pics of your sets.

Went with the Sunex metric set as well. Put them on some Ernest 3/8" rails. (Full set is on one 3x19" 3/8" rail set) Looks great, very accessible. Just got done using them working on my car. They feel quality. Downside? Idk - they come completely drenched in oil and are slippery as hell because...

Tekton Rousseau Tool Chest Overview & Thoughts

No tax seems to only be the case for a select amount of states. I get charged tax for California.

Track Saw vs Circular Saw vs Table saw Vs Miter saw - Which one to start with?

This video answers it for you. Personally, I bought a portable table saw because I knew I was going to do some work where I needed to make repeated cuts where I worked up to a specific measurement. The HF Hercules model. I kind of wish I bought a track saw instead because it takes up less...

Digital or Clicker That is the Question

Digital. Got annoyed with click type wrenches not actually clicking. Had it happen far too many times.

    Good retractable extension cord reel?

Is there anything like the triple tap from reelcraft but cheaper? $700+ for 100ft of cable is ridiculous when you can get a similar amount of cable (without a reel) for $50.

    What's a slightly used KRL1022 worth?

I'm curious about this too... There's one I'm seeing with a stainless top, work center, and overhead for $5k. I'm not really interested at $5k but they've been trying to sell it for a year so maybe they'll move on price... but then again, surely someone has sent them an offer before - lol. Seems...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Posts like this are why I keep looking at Craigslist and FB marketplace - deeply visceral deal ****. Yet - posts like this are why I'm miserable too - because I need a vise and can't wait forever! :shocking: I should give up...

Variable Speed Angle Grinder - for the homer

I don't know how quality they are but they're dewalt branded. I don't know who their supplier is. I think they all say they're rated for over 10k RPM but they still like to fling and spread apart a little too easily, IMO. I definitely never let it just free-spin, I have to keep them engaged with...

Variable Speed Angle Grinder - for the homer

This is what I ended up doing. I don't want to fiddle with router speed controllers that only work to a certain limit and what not. Looks like a lot of hassle. Whatever. $185 after tax. Should be here soon. I'll end up keeping it for 30+ years and hopefully get much use out of it.

Variable Speed Angle Grinder - for the homer

I have a HF $10-20 angle grinder. It spins at some ridiculous 10k+ RPM and that's the only mode it has. The only way to make it go any slower is to just dig it into the work to where its 5amps gets completed gutted. I've been using wire cups and what not because I'm refurbishing a 100+ yr old...

    Shadow Tool Staging System

$16,000 for - essentially - two vertical sliding pegboards with a shelf between them. Yeah, ok. Interesting concept - terrible price.

What defines a complete socket set?

Recently, I've been searching for a socket set that was "complete". We can likely agree that no skipped sizes for a given drive size is part of completeness. e.g. Given 6-12mm, it should include 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. However, the part I start struggling with is what defines completeness...
